The radioactive material was seized from a foreign ship.It is learned that the ship was coming from Shanghai, China. The destination was the port of Karachi, Pakistan. Detectives are investigating whether there was a plot to sabotage any militant group, including China and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the Adani group issued a statement on Friday after recovering radioactive material from their port. The statement claimed that the radioactive material recovered on the day was not supposed to be unloaded at Mundra or any Indian port. However, the statement said that a joint operation by Central Customs and Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in their port on Friday seized an unknown hazardous substance from a foreign ship's container.

It is learned that the ship bound for Karachi has been detained at Mundra port by the officials of Central Customs and Revenue Intelligence Department. The next search is on. It is also being investigated whether any militant group was plotting sabotage by bringing radioactive material into the sea. Meanwhile, in a statement, the Adani group thanked the intelligence agencies of the two departments. The statement said, "The Adani group considers the security of the country as the most important issue and there will be no compromise on this issue on behalf of the organization."

In September alone, about 3,000 kilograms of heroin was seized from a ship carrying two containers at the Adani group's Mundra port. Its market value is about 20 thousand crore rupees. Officers from the Revenue Intelligence Department arrested two people with drugs in the operation. Later, intelligence sources said that they were involved in drug smuggling in the name of importing 'powder' from Afghanistan. The Adani group issued special instructions after the incident. The agency said cargo containers from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan would no longer be allowed to be unloaded at their ports.
